If I missed any after this update is pushed through, feel free to let me know. As far as I am aware, every model that had this issue has been fixed. As I discovered the cause for this issue recently, I took the liberty and decided to fix this issue on virtually EVERY model on the server that suffered from this wonky animation bug. This includes all of the male student models we used, a majority of the lore student characters, and others, such as Tonks, Umbridge, etc.

This will allow us to add more content to the server in future updates without reaching an obnoxious download size.Īs I'm sure a lot of you have noticed, a decent chunk of the player models being used on the server, and well, Garry's Mod in general, tend to have a 'broken legs' animation upon landing from medium height jumps.
As much as I know that may suck for some of you, after 3 years, this was absolutely necessary. Lastly, this change will require ALL players to redownload ALL of our content. This means that not only will our server require less disk space for all players new and old alike, but download times for new players and load in times in general will be even far less in time than before.
Our server's download size has decreased from 8.5 GB to 5.5 GB total, nearly being halved in size. On top of that, I have also compressed several thousand files that were insanely and unnecessarily oversized. I took the liberty to go through every single last file that we have our clients download and remove every last bit of content that we are not using. For that purpose, the server's download size, though already fairly small comparatively to most Gmod servers, even with all of our custom content, was riddled with tons of old and unused player models and more.
